"Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy"
Jesus encourages us to stay alert and not grow drowsy during Advent!
"Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice."
Christ invites us to speak of him by speaking the truth.
"But of that day or hour, no one knows"
This weekend our readings encourage us to be ready and alert for the end times.
"But she... has contributed all she had"
Let us pray we are not afraid to give everything for God!
"You are not far from the kingdom of God."
Jesus tells us that we must love God, and that includes loving our neighbor.
"What do you want me to do for you?"
Jesus wishes to heal and restore us to who we were made to be!
"But it shall not be so among you."
This week Jesus shows us that true leadership involves service.
"All things are possible for God."
May our hearts seek the wisdom of God and to follow His Son today!
“It is not good for the man to be alone.”
This week Jesus speaks about community, specifically the most basic communal unit: the family.
"If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off."
May the Lord help us to clear away the things that lead us astray this week.
"And they were afraid to question him."
Are we afraid to ask God the hard questions of life?
"Be strong, fear not!"
Jesus and the Church empower us to hear the Word of God and to profess it!
“Whoever Eats This Bread Will Live Forever.”
This week Jesus tells us in no uncertain terms about the importance of the Eucharist to the life of a Christian.
