The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

This Thursday, August 15, is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On this day we recall the day when the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken, body and soul, into heaven by her Son. We celebrate this because we believe that, what she experienced in this moment through the love of Jesus, we will all experience one day when we are raised from the dead and come to the heavenly feast.

This feast day is a Holy Day of Obligation in the United States. As such, see below for the Mass schedule for Gesu and St. Pius:

7:00am - Mass at Gesu

8:30am - Mass at St. Pius (with school students)

12:00pm - Mass at Gesu

5:30pm - Mass at St. Pius
