Planning for Our Future

Dear Parishioners,

As we look to the future of Gesu parish, we do so with great hope and enthusiasm. As part of that hope and enthusiasm, the Toledo-Detroit Province of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales has partnered with us and our sister parish, St. Pius X, to create a Strategic Plan for each parish that have similar goals while honoring their individuality as communities. The idea is that our two communities, while different, minister to many of the same neighborhoods and have the same mission, namely spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ, and the Oblates want to be a part of all of this for a long time to come.

Over the next few weeks there will a survey that will be made available to the parish via our Flocknote email system, a QR code in the Sunday bulletin, or paper copies in the narthex at Sunday Mass. We want to hear from you! Your voice is a vital part of this planning process as we work to create a plan that honors the past while looking toward the future with boldness and hope.

So, let us pray that, through this process, our good and loving God will guide us in creating a community that remains as vibrant moving forward as it has been for the last 104 years!
