Feast of St. Francis de Sales

Today is the feast of St. Francis de Sales!

Living from 1567 - 1622 in what is now Annecy, France, St. Francis was a zealous bishop, a talented writer, and a caring spiritual director. His writings have been so influential that he was named a Doctor of the Church in 1877. In addition to being the namesake of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales (the religious community of priests and brothers who staff our parish), he is also the patron saint of journalists, writers, and the deaf.

So, we invite today you to thank God for the gift that St. Francis de Sales has been to the Church and to please say a prayer for the Oblates and for vocations to their community and way of life!
